This four-hour seminar is designed to teach the new, or self-taught, editor key workflow techniques that will keep them organized, speed their editing, and simplify their output.

- Improving capturing from video tape
- Understanding Log & Transfer
- Key techniques to speed your editing

This is a classroom-style lecture, though you are welcome to bring a laptop for taking notes. Total time: 4 hours.
In all cases, plenty of time is allocated for answering student questions.
Seminar: Final Cut Studio - Pro Techniques
This eight-hour seminar is designed for the editor who is already comfortable with Final Cut Pro and is looking to expand their understanding of other applications in the Final Cut Suite.
This all-day session cover three areas: audio, Photoshop integration with Final Cut Pro, and color correction.
Specific areas of discussion are:
Audio (2.5 hours)
- Round-tripping files from Final Cut to Soundtrack Pro
- Understanding the Soundtrack Pro interface
- Repairing poor audio
- Mixing your projects
Adobe Photoshop in a Final Cut Pro workflow (2 hours)
- Obtaining high-quality still frames from Final Cut Pro
- Preparing still images in Photoshop for FCP
- Creating traveling mattes
- Retouching video in Photoshop
Understanding Color Correction in Final Cut Pro (2.5 hours)
- Learning how to read video scopes
- Improving gray scale images
- A seven-step approach to automatic color correction
- Manual color correction techniques
- Color effects
