Enthralled Audiences Flock to
Larry Jordan’s UK Seminars
Agoura Hills, CA (March 5, 2010) Digital video editors in Scotland,
Great Britain and Ireland appreciatively acknowledged Larry Jordan’s
editing skill and training technique during his seminar tour February
12 through 21, 2010. An internationally renowned digital media analyst,
editor, director, and trainer, Jordan presented in Glasgow, London and
Dublin. In London, Jordan was a featured speaker, participant in panel
discussions, and workshop leader at Broadcast Video Expo 2010 at Earls
Court 2.
”I love teaching this stuff,” said Larry Jordan, president
of Larry Jordan & Associates, Inc., “Technology changes so
fast, and sometimes all the new gear and terminology become overwhelming.
My goal is to help the students in my workshops and classes understand
this technology so they can make better decisions and become more productive.”
Jordan’s February 12th 2-hour Final Cut Pro workshop for students
and new users of Final Cut Pro, presented as part of the Creative Loop
Student Media Festival which is part of the Glasgow Film Festival, was
a huge success. Over 150 students attended his presentation.
On February 15th Jordan traveled to London to conduct a seminar for
intermediate users of Final Cut Pro showcasing highly effective, but
often little-known Final Cut Pro plug-ins from such companies as Red
Giant Software, SmartSound, Peake Professional Systems, Square Box Software,
Adobe, Digital Anarchy, UserMatic, Imagineer Systems, and others.
Broadcast Video Expo 2010 at Earls Court 2, London, began February
16th and Jordan presented several workshops on precision audio editing
in Soundtrack Pro 2, creating the Film Look on the Desktop, Converting
DSLR Media for editing, and Editing DSLR Media in Final Cut Studio. Plus
Jordan was a featured guest panelist discussing “The Future of
Digital Video” and “Where Next the Blu-ray Disc?” His
seminar on “Getting Your Video to Look like Film,” presented
in three different sessions, had an overflowing crowd, with people leaning
in windows to hear him speak. This session was so popular he hopes
to turn it into a video tutorial soon.
Jordan ended his Tour in Ireland presenting two “PowerUP” Seminars
in Dublin. The first seminar, on Saturday, February 20th, focused on
students and new users of Final Cut Pro and covered such issues as setting
up and optimizing Final Cut Pro, working with Multicam clips and new
features of Final Cut Pro 7. Geared toward editors and more advanced
users of Final Cut Pro, the seminar on Sunday, February 21st focused
on how to work with HD, mixed format projects, archiving, video compression,
and color correcting in Final Cut Pro.
